Learn how to effectively and responsibly develop, deploy, and manage AI in organizations.

Sessions will be taught by research fellow Marleen Huysman, research fellow Anastasia Sergeeva, Tomislav Karacic, research fellow Mohammad Rezazade Mehrizi, Ella Hafermalz, and Stella Kyratz. All teachers are connected to the KIN Center for Digital Innovation, School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
The AI@Work course will teach you how to:
- reflect on the potential impact of AI solutions on (knowledge) work and recommend useful frameworks for managing AI in practice;
- recognize socio-technical challenges when developing and implementing AI in organizations;
- explain and use relevant theories and concepts from the fields of management, organization, and information systems;
- articulate the relevance of the problem, theories, and contribution in a research proposal;
- critically reflect on literature and engage in meaningful discussions with peers in a reading group setting.
Schedule
The course includes six sessions of three hours per week and runs from Friday, September 5 to Friday, October 10, at Tinbergen Institute's campus at the Zuidas in Amsterdam. The course is concluded with an examination in the form of a final essay. This elective is part of Tinbergen Institute's two-year Research Master Business Data Science.
