Reshaping Work Conference 2026

Artificial intelligence is no longer simply transforming how we work: it is reshaping organisations, institutions, and societies. As AI systems increasingly influence decision-making, coordination, communication, and knowledge creation, the challenge is no longer solely technological. It is profoundly human, social, and political.

Reshaping Work Conference 2026

On 12-13 November 2026, Reshaping Work will bring together leading academics, policy makers, business executives, workers’ representatives, technologists, and civil society leaders in Amsterdam for AI@Work: The Human Frontier.

Marking the organisation’s tenth anniversary, this special edition of the conference will reflect on a decade of research, dialogue, and collaboration on the future of work while looking ahead to the opportunities and challenges emerging at the intersection of AI, work, and society.

Through high-level keynotes, interdisciplinary discussions, and forward-looking debate, participants will examine how AI can be governed and deployed in ways that strengthen human capabilities, democratic values, and societal well-being.

Under this year’s theme, The Human Frontier, the conference moves beyond narrow discussions of automation and efficiency to address some of the most pressing questions of our time: the future of work and occupational identity, algorithmic management and workplace governance, AI’s impact on democracy and economy, the transformation of healthcare, and the institutions and policies needed to navigate technological change responsibly.

At a time when decisions about AI will have lasting consequences for work, democracy, and social cohesion, Reshaping Work 2026 offers a unique forum not only to understand the future, but to help shape it.
