Business Data Science student HyeJin Kim hosts podcast 'LightOn'

HyeJin Kim, a research master student at the BDS program hosts her podcast LightOn on Anchor. In the series of talks that can be described as a format in between interview and discussion, HyeJin discusses a plurality of subjects which she herself describes as “topics that need more attention”. Generally, most topics revolve around academia, economics and contemporary social issues.

Such topics include anti-Asian sentiments resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic and how this effects students in the Netherlands with an Asian background, financial aid for international students and the civil unrest in Myanmar. 

Among the more recent topics discussed in LightOn is the issue of diversity in academia. HyeJin delves into this topic with BDS faculty member Svetlana Khapova, professor of Careers and Organization Studies, and with BDS faculty member Ines Lindner, associate professor of Mathematical Economics.
