Biography

Ece is an assistant professor at the Econometric Institute (EI) of EUR and is member of the Operations Research group at EI. Ece's research focuses on decision-making in energy systems under uncertainty, from real-time operations to long-term system design. Ece uses stochastic optimization and data-driven modelling to support the operation and market integration of renewables and storage, and to enable demand-side flexibility through demand response and smart grids.
