Meet the teacher for our advanced machine learning course: Alberto Quaini
Next to our signature machine learning courses (supervised machine learning, unsupervised machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing), BDS is now offering two more advanced courses to be taken as electives in the second year or as core courses for students in the advanced track: Advanced Machine Learning and Reinforcement Learning
Alberto Quaini will offer the new Advanced Machine Learning course from 2024. He is an Assistant Professor of Statistics at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. His research lies at the intersection of Asset Pricing and Statistical Learning, with an emphasis on the development of the theory of penalized estimators and their applications to problems in financial econometrics. Prior to joining the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, Alberto received a PhD in Statistics from the University of Geneva, and visited Columbia University for his PostDoc.
