Biography
Joaquim holds the Endowed Chair on Applied Optimization in Operations Research at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam since November 2010. He leads the Research & Development Department on Optimization Algorithms of ORTEC Software Development since 2005. He obtained his PhD in 1996 at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
