Professor Gui Liberali co-editor of special section Management Science on Prescriptive Analytics
Management Science recently published a special section on Prescriptive Analytics, including a total of 20 fantastic papers, resulting from handling more than 200 submissions. Readers will find some familiar authors in there, including the recent Nobel winner Guido Imbens (Stanford University).
The special section covers a very broad list of topics and applications, including clinical trials, coupon personalization, personalized pricing, website optimization at Amazon, algorithm fairness, diffusion theory, and a lot more. Many papers in this issue are using bandits (a subset of Reinforcement Learning) and online learning.
Gui Liberali, Professor of Digital Marketing at Rotterdam School of Management (RSM), Erasmus University Rotterdam is one of the co-editors of the special section. Gui will teach a summer course in Reinforcement Learning as part of the Business Data Science summer school 2022. Applications open. This course will also be offered as an elective field course in 2022-2023 and open for external participants.
It is now live as the current issue here: pubsonline.informs.org/doi/full/10.1287/mnsc.2021.4296.
